Should I Use WordPress for My Website?
Why WordPress?
WordPress is a phenomenal CMS (Content Management System). It’s versatility, responsiveness, and ease of use are just a few reasons we love WordPress. Let’s dive in and see if WordPress is right for you.
WordPress is bigger than you may think
There’s no debate, WordPress is the most prominent CMS on the web with over 74 million sites depending on WordPress to keep their website organized and running. Why do we care how big it is? The bigger something is, generally, the more support it has. Between plugins, forums, and YouTube, you can find the answer to almost any WordPress question you have. Whether you want to know how to get a sidebar on your site, or your site throws an error and you need to know how to fix it. Having an abundance of support is always a comfort.
Bloggers aren’t the only ones using WordPress
There is this rumor that WordPress is only for personal websites and blogs. Let me help put a kibosh on this. WordPress is wonderful for companies big & small. With users such as Mercedes-Benz, Rolling Stones, The Walt Disney Company, and Snoop Dogg you can gather that WordPress is a well-known CMS that is versatile for many different businesses.
A responsive site is important
Having a responsive site means that it performs well across different devices that your viewers may be using to see your website. With phones and other devices dominating as the way to access the internet, it is extremely important that your site looks good on mobile, tablet and computer.
Responsive sites are better for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) which is important if you want to rank high on Google or other search engines.
Content on WordPress can easily be updated
If you have an existing website that isn’t on WordPress, you most likely contact your website developer every time you want to make a simple change to your site. There are generally charges associated with having the developer work on your website. It can also take longer to get the updates if you’re stuck waiting for the developer to make the updates. With a WordPress site, you can easily log in, find the page that has the content you’d like to change, and edit it. Swapping out text and imagery doesn’t get any easier.
We think you’ll like it
Hopefully, we’ve shed some light on how awesome WordPress is. We build our websites using WordPress and help our clients feel comfortable using the CMS. Our goal is to start a WordPress course for our clients to gain in-depth knowledge of WordPress and experience in using it. Stay tuned!
